Michael was born and raised in Nuremberg, Germany. He is currently studying chemistry at Friedrich Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg. His Bachelor thesis allowed him a glance at the photophysics of dye-sensitized solar cells and after a practical course in our group dealing with dynamic orthoester exchange, he is now trying to develop new functionalized azafullerene derivatives for organic photovoltaics. When he is not in the lab, he likes to do sports, playing guitar and meeting up with friends.
