Henrik was born in Bad Soden and raised in Kelkheim (near Frankfurt). He studied chemistry at Philipps-Universität Marburg and obtained his degree in 2015. He has gained research experience in the labs of Prof. Santos Fustero (Valencia) and Prof. Eric Meggers (Marburg, MSc. thesis). His PhD studies in the Delius lab will focus on the exploration of the scope of self-assembled orthoester cryptands. When he is not in the lab, he goes jogging, plays football, rides his motorbike or plays the guitar.
