Andreas was raised and born in Laupheim (near Biberach). He studied chemistry at the University of Ulm and did his bachelor thesis in the group of Apl. Prof. Dr. Christine Kranz dealing with the optimization of a scanning ion conductance microscope (SICM). He gained working experience during internships in the chemical R&D department of Boehringer Ingelheim (Biberach), where he worked in the laboratory for in-process technology (IPT). Andreas joined the Delius group in autumn 2020 for his master thesis about out-of-equilibrium assemblies of RNA oligonucleotides. Outside the lab he enjoys playing badminton or going for a walk.
