Oleg was born in Kharkiv (Ukraine) and did his Bachelor studies at V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. During this time, he was working in the research group of Prof. Dr. Andrey Doroshenko synthesizing and characterizing novel sterically hindered fluorescent dyes. From 2015 to 2016 he did his Master studies at the University of Nice (France; Double Degree program between Nice and Kharkiv). During his Master thesis with Dr. Maria Duca he worked on the creation of a combinatorial library for the targeting of pre-miRNA. After obtaining his MSc in Chemistry, he moved to Erlangen (Germany) and worked for 1 year in the research group of Prof. Dr. Andriy Mokhir at FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg on the synthesis of red-light activatable siRNA. He joined the group of Prof. Dr. Max von Delius in October 2017 and will work on groundbreaking studies of dynamic covalent chemistry.
Bachelor Thesis
Synthesis and spectral properties of the new sterically hindered polyheteroaromatic fluorophore sensitive to media viscosity
Master Thesis
Set-up of a multicomponent synthesis of a library of RNA ligands targeting oncogenic microRNAs
