Jing Sun was born in Anhui, China. He did his Bachelor studies at Southwest University. In 2011, he moved to Nankai University to pursue his Master degree in Organic Chemistry. From 2014 to 2019, he was studying in Polymer Chemistry and Bioengineering group as a PhD student at the University of Groningen (The Netherlands)  under the supervision of Prof. Andreas Herrmann, working on biohybrid materials. Since August 2019, he is a postdoctoral researcher in the Delius group.
