Sven was born in Bogen and raised near Regensburg. He studied chemistry and management at Ulm University and conducted research on the synthesis of sterically demanding diols as key precursors for an orthoester-based carceplex in the Delius Group as his bachelor thesis in 2018. He then went on to pursue a gap year by interning in transaction advisory, investment banking and strategy consulting roles. During his master he performed his project work in the Delius Group and spent an exchange semester at HEC Paris in the Grande École (Master in Management) programme. In the beginning of 2021 Sven rejoined the Delius Group to do research on novel Sulfur-enriched polymers in a collaborative effort with the Kuehne Lab at Ulm University.
Outside of the lab, Sven enjoys running, cooking, wine and clubbing.
