Patrick grew up in Zeven, Lower Saxony, and relocated to LMU Munich to pursue his bachelor’s studies in chemistry and biochemistry. For his bachelor’s thesis, he concentrated on synthesizing R-β-Lysine and peptide sequences. Patrick pursued a master’s degree in chemistry at LMU, focusing on organic and inorganic chemistry.
During his master’s program, he served as a visiting scientist in the research group led by Anna Hirsch at the Helmholtz Institute for Pharmaceutical Research Saarland, specializing in Antibiotic research. His master’s Thesis revolved around the fields of biological chemistry and chemical proteomics. In his free time, Patrick has an interest in gardening, reading, and participating in sports activities.
