Saptarshi Chakraborty was born in West Bengal, India. He did his Bachelor studies in Chemistry at University of Kalyani from 2009-2012. He completed his Master degree at IIT madras in 2014. He did his Ph.D project on supramolecular polymers and copolymers of Naphthalene diimide based functional materials under the supervision of Prof. Suhrit Ghosh at IACS, Kolkata. He obtained his PhD in July 2020 and since October 2020, he is a postdoctoral researcher in the Delius group.
