Sebastian was born in Kiel (Germany), where he also started to study chemistry in 2010. In 2015 he obtained his Master in Chemistry from the Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel. His Bachelor’s thesis was performed at the University of Stockholm in the group of Prof. Berit Olofsson and his Master’s thesis was done in the group of Prof. Anne Staubitz in Kiel. Afterwards, he moved to the Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz (JGU) where he did his PhD studies under the supervision of Prof. Siegfried R. Waldvogel, working on electro-organic transformations. He obtained his PhD in March 2019 and is now a postdoctoral fellow in the Delius group.
